Why shop @ Chaos Computers?

Chaos Computers offers you great value both online and in our stores, through great service, excellent prices and a wide range of products. You can purchase whatever you like without leaving your home or office 24 hours a day - 7 days a week.  The Internet is also a great resource for information - allowing you to make informed choices.


Why do I have to become a Member?

In order for you to transact on our site you need to register as a member with us.  This is merely a tool whereby we may easily liaise with you and also to prevent you as a customer from repeatedly having to disclose the same information if you were to shop with us more than once.


If I see a product elsewhere for cheaper, will Chaos be able to match the price?
If you should you receive a legitimate quotation form a reputable South African company, please contact us and we will try our best to match or better the quotation.

Will my details be supplied to other companies?
No, we will not disclose your information to third parties (see our “Privacy Policy”)


If I do not have a Credit Card, how else do I pay?
You can pay by using a bank deposit or EFT payment.  Instructions will be given on how to deposit monies into the Chaos Computers bank account and it would be subject to the following rules: 

Payment must be made in full. The payment must quote the order number and surname in the reference section of the deposit slip or on the EFT. EFT payment must reflect in Chaos Computers bank account before goods will be released. No bank deposits are accepted from outside the borders of South Africa. Unpaid bank deposit orders are cancelled after five business days.

How will products be delivered to me and how long will it take?
Currently we only offer a "FREE 2 - 4 DAY ROAD FREIGHT" service.  Should delivery will take longer, we will inform you via email.
This service is only available in main centre's, which include any destination within a 50km radius of the following cities - Pretoria, Johannesburg, Bloemfontein, Cape Town, George, Port Elizabeth, East London, Durban, Pietermaritzburg and Nelspruit. 
Delivery outside main centres is usually within 4 working days. We recommend that you place separate orders for 24-hour items and those with longer delivery times if you'd like to receive an item in its advertised time. The order item with the longest delivery time determines your parcel's delivery time.


Could there ne any additional costs incurred when placing an order?
No, the price of each product is displayed with the product. In the event of a sale or special offer, the discounted price is displayed.  Value added tax at the rate of 14% is charged on goods bought and is included in the prices that are displayed.


What happend if the product I buy is broken or of poor quality?

All returns require an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number. Because many companies offer additional factory coverage, you should contact the manufacturer directly for information regarding eligibility and specific Terms and Conditions. 


How do I know if a product is available or in stock?
If an item is not in stock you will not be able to purchase it on our website, this means that the shopping cart for this item will be disabled


Do we ship to any International Destinations?
No, unfortunately not. We ship only to local South African addresses


What personal information is kept by our company?
We know only your delivery/billing addresses and contact details such as e-mail and phone numbers. We do NOT know your banking or credit/debit card information

What if I can't find a product on your site?
No problem, email us to see if we can source it for you  


Is it possible for me to change or cancel my order?
All you have to do is e-mail us as soon as possible (within 1 working day of placing an order) and let us know what you want changed


Why are most communications done via e-mail?
We go out of our way to accommodate you in any manner. Be it telephonically or e-mail. Given that this is a Virtual Shop and that we don't record telephone calls, we prefer e-mail as it serves as proof of anything you asked or requested.
